Top Primary Menu drop down disappearing in Internet Explorer

  1. I was told by a user of my blog and then confirmed myself, that when you click on my top menu tabs the submenus below disappear behind any posts or image that is at the top of the page. I work on a MacBook Pro and have not had this problem. The user was using IE. I just tried my site on a PC using IE as well and discovered the same problem. For example, one tab on the site is called Kitchen Primer. When you hover over it a drop down list appears which includes 5 items. When on the homepage the bottom 3 items are behind the image and you can't access them. Can you help? Thank you.

The blog I need help with is 4plates2table.com.

  2. I'll tag this for staff attention. There have been couple instances of this with other themes as I remember.

  3. Great! Thank you very much and I hope to hear from someone soon.

  4. You are welcome. Sadly with IE, there are always hoops to jump through, but I'm sure staff will get it sorted out.

By the way, can you find out what version of IE was having this issue?

  5. Hi there,

I just tested this out on Internet Explorer 8 and all of the menus are displaying correctly for me. Do you know what version of IE the visitor was using?

  6. The visitor was using IE 7.0 and I had the problem on Vista. Thanks for looking into this.

  7. The most recent version of IE is IE9. If you do not upgrade then you will experience undesirable results. You can upgrade your browser version here > http://browsehappy.com

  8. Ok. Thanks! I will let them know and upgrade my own PC - which I don't use much anymore. I much prefer my MacBook.
Thanks for the quick responses. You guys are great!
    Nancy
