   ok, so i bought a domain from wordpress, i set up a blog and a loosely functioning website.
   i am a total noob and this is my first time setting up a website. everytime i want to do something, and i look at the support forums for advice, it often appears as though i need to have 'wordpress installed' in order to do this. however, considering i bought my domain from wordpress, i'm not really sure what this means or how i go about doing this. this is probably the stupidest question ever, sorry.

   please help

   I am guessing that advice is on other forums, not this one. Here at wordpress.com, the have a shared environment using wordpress. We do not do our own wordpress installs, so the advice you might get elsewhere often will lead you astray. Your best bet is to read through and search the support documents here at wordpress.com. http://en.support.wordpress.com/

   Search the forums here to see if others have asked your question before and when you get stymied, ask your very specific questions here. Be sure to link to your site and tell us what theme you are using to get the best response.
