Do I understand correctly that you have a new domain with a webhost, using, say, wordpress.org software or some other blogging software? If so, then the process starts at dashboard-->manage-->export. There are brief instructions there. Beyond that, I don't know a lot about it. (or are you just talking about "domain mapping" to get rid of the ".wordpress" in your URL as timethief read your question?)
