Are you kidding me? I first encountered Pyle when I was seven, 50 years ago. His work was my first introduction to both Robin Hood and the Arthurian legends. I'm so happy to see him written about and rediscovered by you. I enjoyed your post enormously.
I did a google search using terms 'Howard Pyle WordPress blog' its too sad that not one result came up. He is rather a forgotten treasure. I hope he gets discovered more. Hes a hero in my book! :)
