Trouble changing content background color

  1. I'm working on customizing the CSS for Dusk to Dawn. I changed the background color in the content section but for some reason all of the space beneath the comments block remains the original color. So I have this big white box at the bottom of every page and post that covers the distance from comments to the bottom of the sidebar. If I hover over this white space using Firefox Web Developer/Inspect, it displays "div#main.clear-fix". I tried dropping that into my stylesheet in the right format with the new background color but that did nothing. Any clues would be greatly appreciated! :)

    The blog I need help with is ftmckinstry.com.

  2. Try this but fill in with your chosen color. For me this darkened that bottom area.

    #main{background: #000;}

    Let us know if this does not work as you want.

  3. Yes, that worked. Thank you so much!

  4. Super!
