Trouble cropping picture for blog pic/icon

Under general settings, I have tried to add a picture for blog pic/icon. I get the pic downloaded and get to the cropping step and it does not let me expand the cropping field by dragging the mouse. I also have tried adding pic through gravatar. It is saved on my profile and in gravatar, but it will not let me set that pic for my gravatar. Any suggestions? Thanks for your help.

The blog I need help with is voiceoftheblueridge.wordpress.com.

  2. Will you please provide us with some details so we can try to help you?

    1. How are you connecting to the internet and to WordPress.com? The way you connect to the internet (mobile, satellite, DSL, dial-up) and to your blog, and how many proxy server jumps etc. it takes to connect can cause problems. There maybe be problems with your ISP and/or with the proxy servers. It sounds like there could be a problem with your ISP. Can you access any of these directly?

  3. Create a 128px x 128px image in your image editing program and then you will not have to crop or anything. WordPress will take that one just as it is.
