   So I'm trying to transfer all of the posts off of my old blogger blog to my new privately hosted wordpress blog. I installed the blogger import widget, imported my posts and ... it only imports 333 of 341 posts.

   Not only that, but the posts that it does import all have the '>' character insterted before the title, before the first line of the post, and before every single comment.

   Is there an easier way to fix all of this besides going through all 300+ posts and 1700 comments and individually deleting each character, then copy/pasting and backdating the posts the widget failed to transfer?

   Are you importing to this site, http://tachaberdash.wordpress.com/ or where?

   I installed the blogger import widget...

   This leads me to believe you are talking about a self-hosted site since we cannot install plugins or "import" widgets here at wordpress.com.

   You need to be at http://wordpress.ORG/support/ as that is where the software you are using is supported. Things here work differently and we would only be guessing.
