   Hello,

   I'm trying to upload Youtube video's to my blog and am not having success. My blog is: http://pickelreview.com/

   Here is what is happening. I go to Youtube and pull up a video (this is random). Here is the page I see: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yudgy30Dd68&feature=related

   I then go to Share and Embed.

   Here is the code I see:
   <iframe width="420" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/yudgy30Dd68" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

   I then go to my blog, choose a post, select edit, and paste this code into the post itself.
   The code reads the same as the paste. I then hit Update or Preview, and the code reverts to: http://ahref= Which is exactly what appears on my post.

   What can be causing this? I've tried everything I can think of to fix it. I'm using Windows 7 if that matters.

   The blog I need help with is pickelreview.com.

   You are pasting it into the HTML tab and not the visual tab right?

   You do not have to use the media button. You do not have to use any embed code. All you have to do using either the Visual editor or the HTML editor on any post or page is to simply type the shortcode in (do not copy and paste). You simply type the youtube shortcode in and publish the post and it works every time.

   Example:
   [youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yudgy30Dd68&feature=related]
   This video is not up and playing on my test blog. It took 19 seconds to post it.

   @ardpete' Hey there,
   Why mess around with embed codes and fa la la la la? The youtube shortcode takes seconds to enter and it works every time.

   Hi again,
   raincoaster and I keep saying this over and over - using the shortcode is easy and it works every time. try it. I'm not a gambler but I'm willing to bet that you will never return to mucking about with the embed code again. :)
