Trouble with jetpack

  1. This is a complicated question. I had registered a free wordpress site (Sparks On Stage) and later registered another site, John Talks Broadway, on a friend's wordpress site. Then I opened my own GoDaddy account to self-host John Talks Broadway. Today I tried to work on the self-hosted site and attempted to tie into the JetPack notice that was on the site. I got the client id (31680) and a long client secret id, completed the form and clicked on "create.". Then I got the following error messages:
Warning: Invalid Jetpack option name: wpcc_options in /home/content/99/11689299/html/wp-content/plugins/jetpack/class.jetpack-options.php on line 46

Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /home/content/99/11689299/html/wp-content/plugins/jetpack/class.jetpack-options.php:46) in /home/content/99/11689299/html/wp-includes/pluggable.php on line 899

So then I tried to go to the site and got the message again only more:

Warning: Invalid Jetpack option name: wpcc_options in /home/content/99/11689299/html/wp-content/plugins/jetpack/class.jetpack-options.php on line 46

Warning: session_start() [function.session-start]: Cannot send session cookie - headers already sent by (output started at /home/content/99/11689299/html/wp-content/plugins/jetpack/class.jetpack-options.php:46) in /home/content/99/11689299/html/wp-content/plugins/stop-spammer-registrations-plugin/stop-spammer-registrations.php on line 72

Warning: session_start() [function.session-start]: Cannot send session cache limiter - headers already sent (output started at /home/content/99/11689299/html/wp-content/plugins/jetpack/class.jetpack-options.php:46) in /home/content/99/11689299/html/wp-content/plugins/stop-spammer-registrations-plugin/stop-spammer-registrations.php on line 72

Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /home/content/99/11689299/html/wp-content/plugins/jetpack/class.jetpack-options.php:46) in /home/content/99/11689299/html/wp-includes/pluggable.php on line 899

So then I clicked on the link and got:

If you're the site owner, one of two things happened:

1.1) You entered an incorrect URL into your browser's address bar, or
    2.2) You haven't uploaded content.

What can and should I do to continue?

    Thanks

    John Sparks

The blog I need help with is sparksonstage.wordpress.com.

  2. Hi John - Could you please try disconnecting and reconnecting Jetpack? If you are using any other plugins other than Jetpack, please disconnect them first. Let me know if that fixes this or not.

  3. Eurello -

I'd be happy to try disconnecting and reconnecting jet pack - where and how do I do this? I can't do it from my hosted site because I can't get to it. Will I be able to do this from wordpress.com?

    John

  4. Hi John - You are unable to log into your self-hosted site? Make sure you're logging in here: http://johntalksbroadway.com/wp-login.php

Your login credentials for that site are likely different than those you use on WordPress.com. If you have difficulty logging in, you'll need to contact GoDaddy.

Once you get back in, to fix this problem, you'll need to update your version of WordPress to the most recent (3.7.1), and update your version of Jetpack to the most recent (2.5). That should take care of those warnings.

We also recommend that you disable the WP_DEBUG constant on that and any other production site. If that sounds like Greek, this thread has more specific instructions on how to do this: http://wordpress.org/support/topic/jetpack-crashing-all-of-my-sites-1?replies=6#post-4912463
