   I have been using wordpress for several years to post photos and recently I've noticed that when I post a single image alone, a big gray box appears underneath the image and has the information about the date and category in which the image was posted. I would like for this gray box to go away and I can't seem to figure out how to make this happen.

   Here's what it has been looking like:

   What am I doing wrong and how can I avoid this gray box?

   That's because some posts were published as Image format posts. Go to Posts > All Posts: you'll see "Image" next to some posts titles. Click the little squares to select all these posts, select Edit from the Bulk Actions pulldown, click Apply, select Standard from the Format pulldown, click Update.
