Trying to bring my domain to Weebly

  1. I have made a website for theholymystic at Weebly and am trying to bring theholymystic.com, which my blog with you is under to that site.
    I can't figure out with all the instructions how to do this. Further I accidently "parked" my domain while I was trying to accomplish this. Yikes, I don't know what I've done.
    Can you help?

    this is the info they asked me to give to you

    The blog I need help with is theholymystic.com.

  2. I created a website with Weebly and need to point my domain to their servers. Can you set this up for me or walk me through the process of making these changes? I need to create A-Records for "www" and for my root domain. That's one record for "www" pointing to 199.34.228.59. And one record for the root domain pointing to 199.34.228.59.

    If you need more info on these changes, please see:

    Note that I want to keep using you as my domain registrar. I am not requesting a transfer and do not have new name servers to provide you.

    Thanks!

  3. If you’ve registered your domain through WordPress.com and now want it to point to a blog or website hosted elsewhere then you can do this by updating the nameservers.

  4. Hello, I have the same request! You cannot update the nameservers with Weebly.
    I have purchased my domain http://www.thesweetremedy.com from you. I have built my website on Weebly.com. I need you to point my domain to the following IP: 199.34.228.57

    This is done by changing my domain's A-Records. I am not requesting that you transfer my domain, redirect my domain, or change my name servers. I want to remain with you as my domain registrar. For more detailed information, please see http://kb.weebly.com/domain-registrar.html.

  5. Hi all;
    I actually gave up, cancelled my Weebly site and re-committed to the space here on WordPress. I like WordPress very much, but the user friendly editing and one of the templates on Weebly is so great!
    I think I just have to learn a bit more about what I want to do here...
    Thanks!

  7. thesweetremedy - it looks like your domain is now pointing to a site on MilliServe.com. Did you still want it pointed to Weebly? Just let me know and I'm glad to help.

    You do still have two name servers pointing to WordPress.com, so you should remove those and add at least one more name servers for MilliServe.com to make sure your site displays consistently:

    ns1.milliserve.com
    ns1.wordpress.com <- remove this
    ns2.wordpress.com <- remove this

  8. jamaha - I'm glad you chose to stay at WordPress.com - do let me know if there's anything I can do to help! You might want to check out our site for beginners to help get you into the swing of things:

  9. Hi Kathryn and timethief;
    Yep, I'm very happy to stay and settle in. I've had one blog here for 5 years and really am so grateful to have this site to do this. This new project I think I was imagining more like a website. Looking more into WordPress and all you offer I'm sure I can make it into what I want.
    The delay with the domain gave me a chance to have second thoughts about moving so all's good :)
    Thanks so much for the other link to "learn".

    ta-ta!
