I have a couple of blogs that I created as part of a course. Now I want to delete them... I'm going through the motions, but the necessary emails don't arrive in my email box, to enable the final "click here to delete" step. This is extremely frustrating.
The blog I need help with is rutlandarearobotics.wordpress.com.
Sometimes the e-mail takes som hours to arrive.
You could choose to make the blogs private, then you'll still have the chance to return to your blog later, and none will have access for them.
Check in your Spam box, because WP automated emails sometimes go there.

Volunteers can't help with the non-receipt of email issue except to say if it's not in your email spam filter you will have to contact Staff on January 2nd.
I agree that making the blog visibility "private" is far better than deleting a blog. You may want to use it for testing themes, widgets and features before using them on your main blog. In that future you may even want to use them again. Once deleted a blog URL is gone forever and the URL cannot be recycled and reused by anyone.
