Hi all,
I posted a question about this earlier, but it was not as clear as I would like. So, let's try again:
I have a simple word press website setup for a club on my university at:
http://pcecpslo.byethost31.com/
Obviously, this site doesn't have a domain name setup. I do have a domain name: http://pce.calpoly.edu given to me from my university.
I want to redirect pce.calpoly.edu to my wordpress site: pcecpslo.byethost31.com and also URL mask it. So when people go to pce.calpoly.edu, it will redirect them to my byethost but users will only see pce.calpoly.edu in the address bar.
This is very similar to the free domain name sites such as http://www.freedomain.co.nr/
The problem is that, my university hasn't given me the power to change nameservers (still talking to them about it and not sure if it will happen). The domain is purely hosted on a server, only given an FTP, no cPanel installed at all. We can't even use scripting languages as mysql and phpmyadmin is not installed.
Does anyone have a solution?
