I was trying to use the Tumblr follow button code by placing it on the text widget, but it didn't seem to work. Every time I tried to save it, the code would not be there anymore; so now I'm not sure if I missed anything.
The blog I need help with is dotingdamsel.com.
Tumblr uses an iframe for its follow button code, and iframes are a kind of embedded code, which is not allowed on WordPress.com. (Code on WordPress.com)
One solution is to create your own button or use plain text, and then link that button or text to the Tumblr follow link. I believe this link is the one Tumblr uses for the follow button:
http://www.tumblr.com/follow/your_username_here
Another solution is to simply link from your WordPress.com blog to your Tumblr and let them follow you from your Tumblr page.
