used to see an option to make it public/private but the button no longer seems to exist i have confirmed I am logged in any help making this private would be great!

You can make your annual report private by clicking on the "Make Private" link in the upper-right hand corner of the report. It's in the same spot where the "Make Public" link was :)
yeah i'm saying the link is not there any more and i am logged in with the linked wp.com account :/
Make sure you're logged into the account of the blog that runs Jetpack. I've just made the report private for you though.
