Turn off toolbar

  1. How do I turn off the toolbar that appears atop every WordPress page when I've signed into one, please?

  2. You can't. It's a given for you when you're signed in.

  3. If you do not want to see it, sign out of wordpress.

  4. I've tried signing out of WordPress. It hasn't gone away, even when I close and reopen the page.

    Any other suggestions, please?

I don't understand the arrogance of software companies who insist on commandeering screen space on users' computers. Since I primarily use a netbook it's a fairly significant annoyance.

  5. I'm surprised the navigation bar till appearing when you have logged out of your WordPress.com account. I log out and it's gone - gone - gone. So it sounds like you have a browser issue. Have you tried clearing your browser cache and cookies? http://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/
