Twenty Eleven - Menu Dropdowns Same Color As Menubar?

  1. I've found a lot of code that deals with gradients, but nothing that sees address my issue. I'd like to have the background for the drop-down parts of my menu bar be the same color as the menu bar itself. They're white right now, and so is my background, so they're not particularly easy on the eyes. Is there a bit of CSS that will tell those drop-downs to use the same color?

    Many thanks,
    Mark

  2. Hi Mark,

    In your custom CSS editor, you need to add the following CSS snippet:

    #access ul ul a{<br /> background: #ECE5CE;<br /> }

    This will change the background colour of your drop-down menus. You can change the hex value given for the background to anything you want.

    Hope this helps!

  3. @siobhyb: Code tags aren't used to display HTML or CSS. Don't use them here, as they produce the erroneous br tags you can see. To display code in this forum, enclose it in backticks (see the note on allowed markup).

  4. @justpi: Thanks for the tip!

  5. You're welcome!

  6. Thanks so much for the code! I really appreciate it :-)

  7. No problem! Glad it helped. :)
