Apologies if this is a newbie question, but I would like to set up a feed that will automatically post any new updates from my blog onto my twitter.
So for example I do a new blog post titled "example blog post". Is there a way for my linked twitter to be automatically updated with the words "example blog post" and a link to that post?
If so, what can anyone recommend as the best way of going about doing this?

The feature (i.e. plugin) isn't available on WordPress.com hosted blogs, but I think http://twitterfeed.com/ could do the trick...

Just a side note: people can tell the difference between autoposts and spontaneous ones. If you're at all good at marketing, you are better off writing your own twitter updates with links to your blog. Twitter is my #1 traffic referrer because I'm good at writing a snappy/intriguing headline with a link.
