Twitter previews

  1. Hi,
For some reason, when we link to posts from our blog's Twitter feed (twitter.com/5albums), they have stopped 'previewing' properly (i.e. you can no longer expand the link to see the title and a lead photo within Twitter).

These links use to preview properly, and this has only stopped happening recently. We note that previews for links to other wordpress blogs are still showing up for other users. We're wondering what's changed and if there's anything we can do to restore this functionality?

    Thanks.

The blog I need help with is 5albums.com.

  3. P.S. Are you using this widget? http://en.support.wordpress.com/widgets/twitter-timeline-widget/ It's a replacement for the old one.

  4. Thanks. And yes, we're using the new widget. Much better than the last one.

  5. Thanks for confirming that.

  6. Could you please send the links of the Tweet that has this issue? and one of the Tweet that is working?

  7. None of the tweets linking to our site are working. Here's an example: https://twitter.com/5albums/status/337632715723665408

Here's an example of one linked to somebody else's site that *is* working:
    https://twitter.com/TimmyBech/status/337988663734591489

(The odd thing is that about a month or so ago all the links were working fine, and now they're not. Even old tweets that had a preview attached at the time of posting no longer do).

  8. I found a link to our site that's still fully working w/preview. This is how all links used to look: https://twitter.com/josepharthur/status/315617691140501504

  9. I see. Showing content in the tweet is entirely up to Twitter and we have no control over that. They might employ the use of a set of criteria, which can sometimes lead showing post content or nothing at all.

    Sorry for the inconvenience.

  10. Ok. Cheers.
