Two blogs have been connected, one does not function

  • I have two separate wordpress blogs – the one that is functioning is named here, the other is on line but non functioning and I am redirected me to this one! What happened?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  • I have been offline due to family business and wanted to revamp my blogs, but have discovered that I cannot change my e-mail address after the fact, do I just scrap everything and start over? If so HOW do I access wordpress usa from out of the country? I can access the USA site by coming in the backdoor eg through Facebook, but not through the front door, is there any way around this?

  • We can’t really help you with a blog if you make us guess the URL. What is the URL starting with http?

Yes, you can change your email address; either the one on your profile OR the blog admin address. Instructions are in the Support documents.

I’m outside of the USA, so are millions of other WP.com users. Unless you’re in Bahrain, Saudi Arabia (intermittently) or China you should not need to use a proxy. If you are, use TOR or a VPN.

  • I should have explained better, it was late and I was frustrated! EVERY time I typed in http://www.wordpress.com I was redirected to fr.wordpress! My IP address shows that I am in France and the system assumes that I am French! I will open a separate tab so as not to lose this one and get the URLs for the two blogs that I want to work on. As to the change of address, I already read the docs , and the issue is that the OLD addresses except one will no longer accept e-mail and e-mails will be sent to new and old addresses. Thank you for your help! Now for breakfast …

  • Hello world!

    https://emeraldartstarotandastrology.wordpress.com/

There was another that I had just created when major life events got in the way, three blogs for three different and unrelated topics. When I created the first one and then the second, they had to have separate e-mail addresses and IDs or they would all show the same ID as author, so I had to create a new ID and separate them. There was another blog, but that one seems to have gone missing completely with the two shown above surviving. One was purely personal, one was not for business purposes but needed to look professional, and the other was for the start up of what might have become a business!
