Two new posts but I've not had an email of them and I am subscribed

  1. The two posts are showing fine in recent posts but neither I nor my blog worker have received emails showing them. Is this a temp fault?

    The blog I need help with is slamtwigops.wordpress.com.

  2. I noticed exact same thing.

    me too.

    Anyone knows who to contact för a refund?

  4. I've just posted something similar: http://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/new-post-not-showing-in-rss-feed?replies=1

    Are they showing in your RSS feed?

    Guess it's not just me...

    I set my latest entry to post about 45 minutes ago. When I look at my blog the new post has appeared, but I have not received my own subscription copy by e-mail, nor have I received any comments or likes, of which there's usually at least one by now.

    My latest post is not showing in my friends updates either, but when i logged in to my blog it said it was undergoing site maintenance so maybe that's the problem?

  7. They provide email support to people who pay to use the site but I don't. can anyone contact them and let us know, please? Hope this isn't cheeky to ask, first time I've used the forum.

    Thanks :-)

  8. @Justthere... that could be the answer, thanks for posting

  9. Same here. If there a status page or blog that has sheduled downtime etc.. on? If not there should be, it's the first place I would have checked.

  10. I just noticed I got no notification at 4.20pm as I usually do of WordPress blogs I subscribe to either. Seems there is an issue.

    Also I just posted about the Facebook "like" disappearing on another thread, so perhaps the maintenance thought is the answer.

    Will be interesting to see.

    When I saw the comment by justtheretotakenotes, I logged out and back in again, but I got no message about site maintenance. I still haven't received the e-mail version of my latest post.

    I definitely had a site maintenance message come up, it was when i clicked through to my Dashboard and i was told to wait and not click the back button. Nothing i have liked is working either. I'll bet it's a site maintenance issue and all will be back to normal soon.

  13. Just replying to a comment and got the maintenance message

    Check back in a few minutes function addLoadEvent(func) {
    var oldonload = window.onload; if (typeof window.onload != 'function') {
    window.onload = func; } else { window.onload = function() {
    oldonload(); func(); } }} Server Maintenance
    Your server is going through a few minutes of routine maintenance. Please don't touch your browser for a few minutes.
    What do I do?
    If you were posting a comment or making a post on your blog then do not press BACK on your browser. Wait 5 minutes and press the refresh icon on your browser. Your comment or post will be sent as normal. If you are browsing a blog here just wait a few moments and hit refresh. The page you were expecting will appear.

  14. Mine seens to have updated now

  15. seems*

  16. * I had a post scheduled for this morning at ~7 am EDT.

    * None of my subscribers have received email notifications, nor am I visible in their Read Blogs feed on the wp homepage.

    * The two people who provided feedback for this post did not receive their usual "the draft titled [...] has been published" emails either.

    * I am only visible on some of the Global Tags for the tags I used on this morning's post, but not all.

    * Please do not infer that I used too many tags, and that is why some were excluded (as has been suggested before) - I used 2 categories and 8 tags. The Tags - Support Page says "Five to 10 tags (or categories, or a combination of the two) is a good number to add to each of your posts." So that should not be the problem, since the total number of tags and categories does not exceed 10.

    * My blog is also not Mature (as has also been inferred previously by the forum helpers), and if that were the case, all of my posts would have been removed from the Global Tags, but I can quite clearly see yesterday's post still there.

    * I would like to know if this is something that will continue, or if it was just a one time thing - and will my subscribers ever receive their emails about today's post? I had some people contact me outside of wordpress to let me know that they checked the blog because they hadn't received anything in two days.

    * I can not contact Support directly because I have not purchased upgrades.

    * Other threads on this subject have been redirected here, so I'm assuming that this is where to post, but if I need to create my own thread to get assisstance, I will gladly do that.

    Thanks in advance for any help. I've had very few views today, and I know it's because my subscribers aren't realizing that I've posted.

  17. Cross reference link: There's another actice thread on the same issue here > http://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/new-post-not-showing-in-rss-feed?replies=8

  18. The RSS feed is the one place my posts are showing, unfortunately that thread does not apply to my situation.

  19. Both threads have been flagged for Staff attention.

  20. We had a temporary issue this morning which prevented some emails from going out. Unfortunately, we are unable to re-send, so you may want to re-post or publish a short "check out my last post" entry.

  21. macmanx, is there anything that can be done about showing up on the Read Blogs feed or the missing Global Tags?

  22. The "Read Blogs" tab still isn't working in IE but is working in Chrome - very slowly

  23. The global tag pages are a bit of a work in progress right now, they won't display anything, partially due to bugs, and partially due to the volume of posts the receive each hour.

    As the Read Blogs, your post seems to be displaying there properly. This works off of your RSS feed, so as long as that is up to date, the post will appear there.

  24. No MacManx, not speaking of MY post - NO posts are displaying in IE.

    Chrome works.

  25. @macmanx, many thanks for getting the answer to my question: very generous of you to share this info :-)

  26. teamoyeniyi, which version of IE?

    drosier, you're welcome!
