Two Questions I don't find in the FAQ's

  1. Hello, I have two questions: first of all I prefere to write my blog in Italian. Question: are my world clients (not italian) able to read my blog? Is automatically translated in their languages or they have to translate it with Google? Second: I tag my articles in English. The tags for each article must be published in order to be found and indicized by Google crowlers, or they will be found the same even if I will choose the option to not show them on site? Thank you,

  2. I'm sorry but what you ask for is not possible on a free hosted WordPress.com blog.

    1. We can set only one interface language here > Settings > General for our blogs. Tags are in whatever interface language we choose for the blog.

There is no FTP access and we cannot install plugins because this is a multiuser blogging platform ie. our blogs are not free standing and there are security issues that would arise if that access were allowed. Google translation widgets are Javascript and it's stripped out to preserve security on this mutiuser blogging platform. http://en.support.wordpress.com/code/

    2. I have translation on my WordPress.com blogs. There are two workarounds and you will find them here > http://onecoolsitebloggingtips.com/2011/02/14/translation-widget-for-wordpress-com-blogs/

    3. If those do not suit you, you can write a blog post in the two languages and then post the two versions of the entry on the same blog, make each language category, create a custom menu and add the categories pages to it.

  3. Thank you very much, I have to think about because none of two possibilities is very professional....The widget I don't like....I need to be indicized by Google in both languages Italian and English, in this way will not work and will confuse the people who reads my blog. Have a nice evening,
