Two Step Blog Loading

  1. Hi,

For my blog ariannasrandomthoughts.com, it seems that whenever the page loads the background image loads first and then the content area next. Is there any way to prevent this from happening as the background image is two images segmented together? I dont want people to see that.

Thanks for your help as always.

The blog I need help with is ariannasrandomthoughts.com.

  2. hi there,
I don't believe this ordering can be changed but I have flagged this thread and it will be moved to the Themes Forum where Themes Staff will provide a definitive answer.

  3. @ariannasrandomthoughts,

Unfortunately, there is no option to control the order of images loading on here WordPress.com. You may have noticed, once the images is loaded, for the next page it will be in the browser cache and will load more quickly. Also the file size of the image effects significantly to the loading speed, therefore making the image file size small will provide better experience for your readers.

  4. Thanks @iamtakashi!

One last thing is there a way to compress the image file size but keep it so there is one image in the background and its not tiled.

    Thats what I'm working on.
