    how to make link on main page open up to new (blank background) page with only the contents of a .txt?

    The blog I need help with is rtp-fitness.com.

    Doesn't appear that your site is a free-hosted wordpress.com site for which this support forum is intended.

    Note the allowed HTML tags here don't include .txt files. http://en.support.wordpress.com/code/#html-tags

    Your best bet would be to use PDF file instead. If you want to embed the document itself into a post, then you will have to use a third party application like Scribd or Google Docs.
