With your new upgrade, is Typekit still a free option indefinitely? If so, how does one access it? I recall signing up for it once, but have no record of that, nor do I know what to do with it. The only "support" that I see online is further reference to your upgrade at $30 per year.
Can you please get me back to the free option?

You can still use Typekit like you did before but you will have limited editing/functionality of the new Custom Design tools, like the interface for selecting fonts without needing to get into the code at all and the CSS editor area.
If you had Typekit setup before the Custom Design launch, it's grandfathered and you will be able to continue to use that Typekit setup in the future.
Thanks, but that doesn't answer my concern: How do I access Typekit in the first place? I write 11 blogs.
If you you weren't using a Typekit ID before, you will have to purchase the Custom Design upgrade to use Typekit fonts.
If you were using a Typekit ID, visiting your Appearance → Custom Design dashboard page, should show you a screen similar to this one.
As indicated on that screen, you can use that Typekit ID until June 29th, 2011.
Thanks, vanilla, I have seen that page, but I do not want to upgrade to the new fonts. If I have been using Typekit, I wouldn't know, although I'm signed up for it. All I want is for my blog to look like all the other blogs. The one in trouble is:

You can still make changes to your Typekit fonts but only via the Typekit.com website — like before. Purchasing the upgrade would give you access to the visual font preview and chooser tools, so you can apply the fonts right from your WP.com dashboard.
If you choose to stay as you are you’ll be grandfathered in forever.
The two-week window mentioned relates to the “Kit ID” that ties your account to Typekit. If you want to change that later you’d need to upgrade, but you can leave it as is if you’re happy with your fonts and don’t mind managing them on Typekit.com.
As to the two blogs you mention, they are using different themes, and thus look different. One is using the Connections theme, and the other is using the Contempt theme.
You can easily change that by visiting Appearance → Themes on one (or both) blog's dashboard.
