Unable to change widget contents

    There is a problem right now with widgets.
    You try to change what it shows and the change does not happen.

    We are fixing this and hope to have it all working as intended as soon as possible.

    Sorry for the trouble.

    So that's why i can't update my new blog's Flicker Widget!. I've been looking all over the FAQ, thought i did something wrong. Good luck on fixing it!.

    Agree with shortexact, I'm sure they're doing the best they can. And in the WordPress world that's the best you will ever get anywhere, blog-support-wise (anyone here ever tried to fix problems on a BlogSpot blog??? ;)

    It's always a pain when you're waiting for it to happen, but it will.

    Ironically, this is the day I have been avoiding the forum so I can get some work done on my blogs ... lol ... so go ahead and throw my feedback into the trashcan now that I know you're on it.

    Yup, staff have been working on it all day. They're doing the best they can. And presumably we are politely and patiently cheering them on, right? :)

    I had this problem last night, but with enough fiddling got it to work. The things I did included logging off, logging back on, then switching the position of two widgets (which worked), then removing the widget in question. That seemed to revert it back to the old text I'd had in it before. I rewrote the new text, put it into position in the sidebar, and it worked.

    By now they may have this fixed but, just in case, I thought people should know there may be ways of getting a widget to work in the meantime.

    FWIW, I tried to replicate growthmadness's sequence to install a text widget without success.

    Yea, I installed for the first time the Sonific widget, but can't get new songs into it.

    I'll add another onto timethief and maxzook -- the method suggested by growthmadness did not work for me either.
