Hello,
We keep a private post up for behind the scenes business between the Admins on this blog. Since Saturday, we've been unable to make comments on any private post. After hitting "submit" we get a white screen. It's pretty annoying.
Any ideas?

Yes, as this is a peer support forum where Volunteers who do not have backend access to blogs answer questions, I believe you need to contact Staff directly http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact/

Are we unique on his issue? Staff seems to be a bit slow on response.

I wondered if it was because I have a private blog. If that is the case, it defeats the reason for having a private blog.
