Unable to export content

  1. Every month or so I do a local backup of my site at http://ruscumag.wordpress.com/ : That's normally easy enough; Kill all the spam and trash and go to Dashboard-Tools-Export-Export all content. For the last couple of months all that I get on Firefox is a message that Firefox can't find the file. On Internet Explorer I get a message saying that the website cannot display the page. The problem persists across multiple computers on multiple local networks.

    So why can't I export my content any longer?

    The blog I need help with is ruscumag.wordpress.com.

  2. Exactly which versions of FF and IE are you using?

    Some issues that you encounter with your WordPress blog or account can be solved by changing your browser settings, refreshing the page, or clearing the browser cache and cookies.     Some issues can be resolved by upgrading your browser version.

  3. As noted, "The problem persists across multiple computers on multiple on multiple local networks". To be more specific, that's four computers, three at home - running various versions of Internet Explorer and Firefox - and one computer station at work. Since the same problem appears on all of them, it appears unlikely to be the computers. It's hardly impossible - but it would be a rather large coincidence.

  4. Is the blog suspended?

  5. Not to the best of my knowledge; my posts continue to go up, the last comments were from yesterday, and it seems to function perfectly well for the usual viewers. Presumably being suspended would interfere with at least some part of that.

  6. I think the time has come for you to contact Staff. Here’s the link http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact/ After you use the searchbox, under the search results, at the bottom of the page there will be a section that says “Have you found the answer to your question?” You can choose either “Yes I found the answer to my question.” or “No I didn’t find the answer to my question and I would like to contact support for help.” The no option will reveal the contact form.
