Unable to Import From Blogger

    In the last 48 hours, I have tried importing an existing Blogger blog into a self-hosted WordPress site on 2 different servers as well as here on WordPress.com - each time the import fails. On my WordPress.com blog, the Google authorization process completes successfully, but the import never starts - it just sits at 0 records/0 comments for hours without ever changing. On my self-hosted WordPress installs, the Blogger importer imports 50 articles and then stops.

    A few months ago, I was able to import the Blogger blog into a self-hosted WordPress site successfully - no issues at all. Now, I can't get it to work to save my life.

    Is there an issue with the current Blogger import tool? Is anyone else running into this issue right now?

    The blog I need help with is digheal.wordpress.com.

    I'm sorry you are experiencing this issue. We Volunteers answering support questions cannot help you with it. On Tuesday you will be able to contact Staff using the link I post below.

    If you're running into issues with the web-based connection tool I would also recommend downloading the XML file that Blogger makes available to you. For many users this has proved more successful and less error prone for large imports. Thanks!
