unable to insert uploaded images

    Hello,

    I have not had a problem with this until theis weekend.

    I successful upload images byt when I go to insert the image in a post, I get a blank screen where the inage information was and nothing happens. No insert. Nothing.

    Hello will you please try some troublsehooting so we can determine the cause if this issue?

    Are you using http:// or https:// see http://en.support.wordpress.com/https/ Please try the opposite.

    Exactly which browser and version of it are you using? If you don’t know click here to find out > http://whatsmyuseragent.com/
    Have you tried clearing your browser cache and cookies? http://www.google.com/support/accounts/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=32050
    Is your browser version up to date? You can upgrade any browser version here. http://browsehappy.com/
    Have you tried using the browser with all extensions or add-ons disabled?
    Do you have third party cookies enabled? http://support.google.com/accounts/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=61416
    Do you have JavaScript enabled? http://www.google.com/adsense/support/bin/answer.py?answer=12654
    Do you have another browser you can try?

    I have checked and updated where need be. I am using IE 9 and Firefox Version 10.0.2. Beither of them is working. When I cllck insert image I get a white screen.

    I solved the problem!! I had to use the NEW uploader not the old version. Works like a charm not. HURRAH.

    I downloaded Chrome. I uploaded different images using both the old and new uploader. I had no problems inserting my images with either the old or new uploader. Go figure. Glad to have my problem solved and help you figure out what's what.

    Hi,
    I am having the same problem as Peggy. It was fine until today. When I try to insert an image, all seems okay until I click "insert into post" and then the screen goes white.

    I went through timethief's list:
    Are you using http:// or https?
    I have changed it to https.

    Exactly which browser and version of it are you using?
    Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.5; rv:10.0.2) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/10.0.2

    Have you tried clearing your browser cache and cookies?
    yes

    Is your browser version up to date?
    yes

    Have you tried using the browser with all extensions or add-ons disabled?
    Yes

    Do you have third party cookies enabled?
    yes

    Do you have JavaScript enabled?
    yes

    Do you have another browser you can try?
    Tried safari, same thing. (Although my version is not up to date. The new version seems to be for snow leopard and I am using leopard.)

    Done – installed 10.3

    Any thoughts would be much appreciated.

    Oh, and I'm not sure what Peggy means by "NEW" uploader or I would try that.

    Twizzlertee,

    When you go to upload an image right below where it says CHOOSE FILE, is a sentence that reads "you are using the browser’s built-in file uploader. The new WordPress uploader includes multiple file selection and drag and drop capability. Switch to the new uploader".

    Click on the new uploader link and try that.

    Thanks Peggy,
    I was already using the "new" uploader so I switched to the other one. It still didn't work and then I switched back. It now seems to be working fine.
    Fingers crossed it continues to do so!

    Well, this morning when I tried the new uploader it didn't work. Went back to the old one and it didn't work. Closed my browser and reopened it (Chrome) and tried the new browser again and it worked. Go Figure!!!!

    I will cross my fingers for both us. I wonder why it's not working. (I don't actually really want to know as long as it keeps working. :))

    Well, today is Tuesday, March 6th, and the uploader is malfunctioning AGAIN!!!!! Neither the old or new uploader is working.

    Please WordPress fix this soon!!!!! My blogs are not looking the same without the photos.

    Mine too! (I guess finger crossing failed.)
    Have you emailed Support directly? I am new to this blogging world but there must be something we can do?! (My blog is about the pictures I am posting!)

    wow. I had the same problem.
    But in my case, when I disabled "Flickr Photo Post", then I can use the function "insert image"
    I think that some plug-in also can cause this problem.
