Unable to renew domain mapping

    The mapping of my blog to my domain, which is still current and fully paid, has expired on April 27, 2012. I do not believe I received an email reminder, but that's fine provided I can renew the subscription.

    Under "Domains" the instructions tell me that "One or more of your domain subscriptions has expired. Domain mapping of your own domain may be renewed by clicking the "Renew" link in My Upgrades."

    But there is no renew button on the page. How can I renew it?

    When I try to map it from scratch, it says "This domain has already been mapped to a WordPress.com blog."

    Any help will be greatly appreciated.

    The blog I need help with is ausjazz.net.

    Are you logged in with the account used to map the original domain? Upgrades can only be renewed by the original account.

    That could be related to the problem, because I first began a blog titled Ozjazz, but then found I could not get a domain name to match.

    But I have logged in to that account and it does not have an option to renew.

    Also, I am confused because if I was able to renew from that account, would that not be mapping the wrong blog to the domain?

    (I have hardly posted to the other blog, because I wanted to use the ausjazz.net domain)

    We need the domains and the blogs they are related to - I will flag this for staff attention to see if they can help you if you post that info.

    PS - I am editor on some blogs that I help with - I don't have the ability to renew upgrades on those blogs since I am not the Admin / Owner of them - but I can Post to those blogs.

    Thanks auxclass. There is only one domain, which is http://ausjazz.net

    The two blogs are

    http://ozjazz.wordpress.com

    http://ausjazz.wordpress.com

    Is that what is needed?

    Yes - the staff can look at the blogs and see who the owners are and who is permitted to renew the upgrades. The staff do check the forum on a regular basis to help.

    Still seems to be working, so maybe there is a period of grace.

    ozjazz is the user who currently owns the upgrade. You'll need to log in as that user to renew it.

    I have tried that repeatedly, but it does not work.

    If I log in as ausjazz, it shows that there is a subscription that has expired, but will not give me a link to update it.

    If I log in as ozjazz, it shows only that there has been no domain mapping subscription and therefore the blog address is to be reached only via ozjazz.wordpress.com

    Can I log in as ausjazz, make the wordpress URL the primary address and then request a new subscription mapping it to my domain?

    I hope there is a way out of this. I don't think I can post ... preview does not seem to work now.

    In that case, the easiest way out of it would be to just re-purchase domain mapping.

    I have removed the expired upgrade, so you can now re-purchase it from any account, but it may take a few minutes for the cancelled upgrade to completely clear from our system.
