Unable to use DNS manager to delete domain.

  1. Had subscribed for $19/yr domain name usage (emilystage.com.) Now I am hosting through a different server with that domain name and wish to delete emilystage.com's connection with WordPress (and subsequently my account.) Tried to use DNS manager to delete the domain, following the steps given, but can't seem to edit nameservers in any way.

Would just like to be rid of it.

The blog I need help with is emilystage.com.

  2. Hi there,
Staff can do this for you. I tagged this thread for their assistance. Please subscribe to it so you are notified when they respond.

  3. To point the domain you registered at WordPress.com to another server (hosting service), please follow the instructions here: http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/change-name-servers/#changing-domain-name-servers . If that doesn't work for you, please let me know where you get stuck or send me the new name server records and I'll set these for you.

You will need to obtain the name server values from your current host. You should be able to find them on their support documentation, or contact them and ask for the information. (Name servers may be referred as "nameservers" or "NS records" instead.)

Hope this helps - let us know if you have any more questions!
