“Uncategorised” – how to remove or change?
-
My new blog has an “uncategorised” description, which I don’t like. I see various answers on the forums: apparently I should go to Settings, then Writing, but I can’t find these.
And is there a list of categories for which to choose?
Thanks in advance

PS I have now found Setting – Writing and a drop-down menu: but this offers no category other than “Uncategorised”…

You have not yet created any other categories. Uncategorized will not disappear until you create and use other categories and choose one of them as a default on your Settings page.

Mat1932 I know what you mean. Uncategorised. What category are we talking about for our posts to be uncategorised. There are no explanations for these things, which makes this site a bit difficult to navigate. If I write a post about how to grow tomatoes, what do I write in the categories box?????

This is hilarious. We have to come to this page and to figure this stuff out ourselves. Hellooooo! We are not posting or blogging. We need help. If there is no one else on here who knows what a category IS then how do we find out??? ODD
