   how to unpublish my blog temporarily ?

   The blog I need help with is florentcailly.wordpress.com.

   It would be good to have a deactivate function if there isn't one already, you could try to send it to the trash bin and restoring it when needed?

   You could temporarily make your reading settings say Private.

   All you can do is set your blog to private. Your posts already indexed by Google etc will still be in search engines though (depending on how long you have it set as private). The posts won't suddenly disappear after setting your blog to private.
