How do I upload a custom theme I already purchased?
Do I need to upgrade to Pro?

Di you purchase it through the Theme Management area of WordPress.com? If so, then you should just be able to find the theme there and click Activate. You do not need to be a Pro member to do this.

I purchased the theme from http://themeforest.net -
Because of the way WordPress.com’s technical infrastructure is designed, they are not able to support uploading of custom WordPress themes on their service. For more information on this, please refer to http://en.support.wordpress.com/themes/adding-new-themes/
