Uploading video files

    I am unable to upload video files (via dashboard, add new: from my computer, url, youtube)

    Also, can I:
    -delete the theme and wordpress info from the pages?
    -move my categories to be placed above the FB box?

    Clear your browser cache and cookies and if your browser version is outdated please upgrade it here.

    Are you following these instructions?

    Please try using them again because the youtube shortcode works every time for me.

    You cannot delete the footer credits. This is clearly stated here:

    May I remove the ‘Blog at WordPress.com’ credit in my site’s footer?
    Although the Custom Design Upgrade certainly grants you the capability to hide the credit from your site’s footer, you are not permitted to do so. Even our VIP bloggers are required to maintain the credit. http://en.support.wordpress.com/custom-design/#frequently-asked-questions

    -move my categories to be placed above the FB box?

    Yes. Go here > Appearnce > Widgets and move the Categories widget so it's above the FB likebox widget. Note: you click the Categories widget to open it and configure it. Then click "Save" and "Close".

    My browser was updated to IE 9 last week. I just cleared the browser cookies and media files still do not upload.

    If you did not experience success with the youtube shortcode then simply post the link to the youtube video here and I will provide you with the shortcode. Youtube shortcodes work every time, provided you aren't attempting to embed a youtube from a channel.

    It's a link to a channel and it cannot be embedded into your blog. You can only post a link to it as you have done in your post.

    Thank you for the clarification about youtube videos.

    I was hoping to add video files from my computer. When I attempt to add them via dashboard, media, add new, nothing happens. (I am able to add graphic image media easily).

    These files are wmp format.

    VideoPress supports MP4 (.mp4, .m4v), QuickTime movies (.mov), Windows Media Video (.wmv), Audio Video Interleave (.avi), MPEG (.mpg), Ogg (.ogv), 3GPP (.3gp) and 3GPP2 (.3g2). http://en.support.wordpress.com/videopress/#additional-info

    If you cannot succeed by using the videopress instructions in the support documentation then you will have to contact Staff for assistance.

    Sorry, I meant wmv format! These files won't upload.

    Nothing happens when you try to upload? Do you not get a spinning icon or anything?

    Are you using the new uploader or the old style one? I mean, can you just drag the file into the upload box, or are you clicking to find it on your computer? that might make the difference.

    I was using the old style one, mostly. I am using IE9 and I didn't think that the new uploader was compatible. Yesterday, I tried both and neither worked. I also tried with firefox!
