URGENT - anonymity problem

  1. My blog is linking to my real identity on twitter instead of my anonymous one. I am frreaking out!!! How is this happening? A gallery I made in WordPress is coming up in twitter as "gallery by 'my name' @mytwitteraccount". I am almost in tears over this, I've worked so hard to protect my anonymity. How is this happening?

The blog I need help with is ivffervescent.wordpress.com.

  2. If you used the same email address for both WordPress.com and twitter then it is probably why the two accounts are associated with each other. It also looks like you are posting in Twitter (via the widget in your sidebar) with your WordPress.com account blog name. ivffervescent

  3. For now, disable Publicize and only manually post links, so that you control what they actually say.

  4. Thanks for quick replies. The thing is it's also doing it when I manually copy and paste the wp post URL into a tweet. I am so close to just drying the whole blog. Also, is this thread public too? That's also problematic for me.

  5. Yes, these forums are public and indexed by Google within minutes. This topic has a modlook tag for staff to take a look. If you don't want more publicity then don't post more here. If you subscribe, then you'll be notified when staff responds.

  6. Thank you. Can I get thus deleted please? I couldn't find a support mechanism for wordpress that wasn't public.

  7. ivffervescent.wordpress.com is no longer available.
The authors have deleted this site.

  8. This is almost certainly a gravatar problem, and the profile will have to be edited at Gravatar. If you use the same account to start a new blog, the same thing will happen.

  9. Please let me know if you'd like additional help in helping to isolate your account.

If starting a new blog, under Settings->Sharing, there is an option for what Twitter account is "advertised" when someone clicks on the Tweet sharing button in addition the public profile found via http://wordpress.com/settings .
