User Permission Customization

    I would enjoy a way to add users and modify their permissions to certain things such as just ability to approve comments.

    I don’t trust some users who I simply want to approve my comments to have the ability to post on my blog and/or delete my posts.

    I would love to have a way to customize a users permissions instead of having them being able to do everything.

    Example: Editor can delete posts and make them, though I only want them to do my comments.

    I think it’s a good idea because a lot of kids blog and the other kids that they want to help approve the 1000 ++ comments I get a day would easily back stab me and delete all my posts.

    Which is the exact situation I’m in. I am a freshman and I don’t like to sit on the computer all day approving my comments. If I don’t allow them in moderation everyone will just spam up my blog.

    That’s more appropriate to a paid solution rather than a free one. You might be able to attract someoone on the other side of the planet that would do it for the experience but otherwise it’s something you’d have to pay for.

    You have a pretty prominent profile: why not advertise for an unpaid intern?

    I am not aware of a plugin that would do what you wish. it may well be able to be coded but it is not something we would implement here – there are much more popular features wished for.

    In the end it’s very simple thoguh – if you do not trust someone, do not promote them.
