I changed by username and blog address from trulyscrumptiouscakes to trulyscrumptiousbakes within wordpress.
Everything is working fine, apart from when I or a user presses 'home' it gives an error message that: trulyscrumptiouscakes.wordpress.com is no longer available.
Please can you advise as to how I can resolve this issue.

When I click the URl this is the result:

The authors have deleted this blog.
It appears that you deleted this blog. Blog deletion at wordpress.com is forever. There are 3 warning messages given prior to accomplishing any blog deletion. Once deleted a blog URL cannot be recycled and used again by you or anyone else.

I do not wish to link to the old blog. All of the content is on the new blog.

Do you mean you need instruction for linking your username to the other blog ie. to http://trulyscrumptiousbakes.wordpress.com ? I have followed those instructions and they dont follow the format of my version of wordpress. But Im not sure that is what I am trying to do.
On my blog, when someone is viewing a page and wants to go back to my homepage, they click on the home button on my site. Rather than it going to trulyscrumptiousbakes.wordpress.com, it takes them to trulyscrumptiouscakes which no longer exists. It gives an error message.
I need to get rid of the link to the old blog as it no longer exists.
