   Does anyone know how to get the excerpt for a post on the home page of the blog, as opposed to the whole article.

   I've written an excerpt for every article, yet I'm not sure how to make these appear on the home page, and then with a link to the full article.

   Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

   Excerpts don't work in all themes - see here:
   http://wpbtips.wordpress.com/2009/03/25/the-excerpt-function/

   What you need is the more tag:
   http://en.support.wordpress.com/splitting-content/more-tag/
