Hi - I am trying to use a domain name that I own for my wordpress site. It has been three
days since I changed the Domain Name Servers with my registrar (1&1 Internet) but
when I use the new address - http://www.thephobiacoach.com it still doesn't show up.
I called 1&1 Internet and they looked at my account and said I had made the changes
properly, so it is not their issue.
Can anyone help?

What is the URL of the underlying .wordpress.com blog you are trying to may from to your domain? Are these the instructions you followed?
Map an existing domain (one you already own) to your WordPress.com blog.
You have not done the domain mapping - all you have done is change the name servers - you need to follow the instructions above -
Yes, these are the directions I followed. The underlying wordpress blog is thephobiacoach.wordpress.com.
There does not seem to be any domain mapping in place for thephobiacoach.com
Were you charged for the mapping?
Geez, you are right - I stopped after changing the name servers. I see now what I need to do. Thank you so much for your help. I'm embarrassed! (No, I wasn't charged for the mapping.)
Yup - stopping after changing the name servers is not a good stopping place
Once you map the domain name it can take 24 to 72 hours for the changes to reach the far corners of the internet and you will be the last one to see the changes
