Using special characters/letters in WP

  1. I'm using Google Chrome. Trying to figure out how to add special characters in from here. i.e accents, enye, etc. (jalepeno, cafe, decor would be examples of words I'd like to add.) I know how to access on Word, but haven't figured it out here. Thanks!

The blog I need help with is skillsinlife.wordpress.com.

  2. Oh, that HUGE button at the top with the special character on it? Wow. Can't see the forest on this one... :)

Thanks for quick response. :) Was going to email you, but didn't see a form on your site.

  3. I spend so much time answering questions here that I removed my email address and contact form from my blogging tips blog. However, you can use a comment box on the most recent blog post to contact me. :)

    P.S. Helpful links:
On the bottom of your Admin page you will find a link to the Learn WordPress.com blogging Tutorial prepared by Staff. http://learn.wordpress.com/
The support documentation is all found at the Support link http://en.support.wordpress.com which is also on the bottom of your Admin page.

  4. How about adding them in the title? I see that I can copy/paste. Haven't learned about typing code in yet... yikes.

Ah yes, I can understand the amount you must get. Makes sense to remove!

  5. I wouldn't add any to the title and this is why. Every title of every post is embedded in the post URL and URLs don't contain diacriticals. http://en.support.wordpress.com/posts/post-title-url/

  6. If you don't want to open that tool, or if you need characters it doesn't contain, or if you need them in the title of a post, you use the corresponding HTML entities. See here (use the "code decimal" versions):
