Using WordPress.com theme on wordpress.org

    Is it possible to download a wordpress.com theme and use it on wordpress.org blog, if so how

    No it's not possible as the two run on different software.

    Also note that we do not provide support for WordPress.org installs on this WordPress.com forum. It's provided here http://wordpress.org/support/

    Many, though not all, of the themes on WordPress.com are also available to download/purchase for use on a self-hosted WordPress.org site.

    You can check to see if a free theme is available at the WordPress.org theme repository at http://wordpress.org/extend/themes/ . If you're using a premium theme, you would need to purchase it directly from the company that designed it. However, your purchase of such a theme on WordPress.com would not transfer to a self-hosted site.
