   I got a new Word Press Blog with a $99 Pro upgrade package and I am putting it together as far as pages and content goes. I cannot bring it up on Google, of course, so I learned that I have to use Google Webmaster Tools to "Verify" that I own the blog and all that stuff.

   I did a few jumps through some hoops by attempting to upload the HTML file and to add the Meta Tag and all that, but none of it worked.

   I did manage to enter the blog onto some "Ping" services but I don't know if that will help people find the blog either.

   I would like to know if I am going to be able to relax and know that someone out there will be able to find and read my new blog?

   I am so new to this platform. I have always had my blog on Blogspot nd I get a little nervous when I run into something new.

   Do search engines automatically find these new Word Press Blogs where you start on a free basis and upgrade to the "Pro " package or is there something else I have to do yet?

   I will be most grateful for anything that can help me understand the procedure here.

   The blog I need help with is americanliberaltimesdotcom.wordpress.com.

   These are the instructions to follow to verify your WordPress.com blog with the major search engines. No other instructions will work as we do not have access to metadata on our blog here. This is a multiuser blogging platform. It's not like Blogger and the verification process they used cannot be used by us. http://en.support.wordpress.com/webmaster-tools/

   Also note that WordPress.com automatically provides XML sitemaps to the search engines for our blogs so there's nothing that we need to do in that regard. And every time we publish or delete any data the search engines are automatically pinged for us so we don't have to ping anywhere at all. http://en.support.wordpress.com/sitemaps/#xml-sitemaps-for-search-engines

   Lastly, note that even if you do not verify you blog ownership the contents will be indexed. The 10 factors that expedite indexing are in this article.

   The fact one purchases this upgrade or that upgrade for a blog has nothing whatsoever to do with search engines indexing your content. All upgrades are individually priced and you will find them here > available upgrades > http://en.support.wordpress.com/upgrades/
