This website is used to post one featured video per day. I think I finally have everything worked out to where it needs to be but when you go to the home page there is just a white box where the video should be.
What can I do to make it show the video of the day?

You cannot make "the most recent post" into a landing page. Posts and Pages are different. The front page of our blogs is set by default. If you do not want all the posts to show on the front page, then you can create a static front page for your site, and also create a “blog” page for your posts to display on and designate that change here > Settings > Reading

Note: When you create a "landing page" you will be forcing your return visitors to click through that same page every time they want to read your latest post and that can is traffic killing choice to make.
Thank you so much for your help. I am beginning to think that this theme (although I love everything else about it) is not going to be the best option for what we are trying to do. I know I am asking a lot of you but perhaps you might have a recommendation for another theme that will allow a simple clean structure while having a video on the front page?
I don't see this as a theme issue at all. All themes display the most recent post in reverse chronological order on the page designated for posts which is by default the front page of the blog. This is the same on any theme. If you intend to add a new video everyday then clicking the URL for the blog http://freetobe.tv/ will display the latest post at the top of the blog in reverse chronological order like it does on all themes.
Right but the front page for this theme doesn't show the content of the most recent blog post. Which is basically all I want. All it shows is the headline of the previous post and a white box, unless I choose a feature image.
I solved the issue by taking a screen grab photo of the video and making that the feature image. I didn't know prior to testing that that box would link to the post when you click on it. (great feature!)
So now it is working as I wanted.

The white box is usually an issue with your own computer; try clearing the browser cache and cookies and restarting. That usually clears this up.
