video upload not working - despite space upgrade

    I've just subscribed for the space upgrade, and the new space is confirmed as available. But when I try to upload a youtube video I get a rectangular white screen superimposed over my blog. I have loaded the URL and/or embed as required, so the fault lies elsewhere.

    Any suggestions?

    Which post and which youtube?

    You don't actually upload youtube videos, you just link directly.

    mark: I'm trying to put the youtube video itself on my blog and I follow the instructions given. i.e I cut and paste the URL and press 'insert' as directed. But all I get is the 'frozen' white screen, which I can't even close using the tab on the top right hand corner.

    I'm having the same problem. Followed the directions, but it won't embed. All I get is the partial white screen, and the "add to post" button is off the screen.

    vickilloyd - I have had to download 'vodpod', and use this software to 'post' the video wordpress. The details are here: http://blog.vodpod.com/?p=156.

    WordPress should be aware, however, that the the original problem remains to be resolved, and it would be helpful if it was.

    i'm also having the same trouble with google video. which is driving me insane b/c it took google months to fix THEIR uploader and now that it finally works and i have my video on their site, i can't get wordpress to upload the link!! aauuuughhhh!!

    Try not using the uploader at all. Use the old skool [ youtube = URL ] and so on. Instructions in the FAQ. I used it just yesterday and it never fails. Works every time.

    What!!! how can you upload youtube videos....just link them using youtube tag...it works on my blog

    I've tried new school, old school....no luck. Oddly, I've never had a problem in my previous 36 posts of uploading anything. Same for my wife. However, several days ago my wife got the frozen white screen. Finally, hours later she was able to post an image. Now, apparently, it's my turn. I try to bring over a video from You Tube (using the embed code)..............nothing. I've tried it using the actual URL.............nothing. Nothing, that is, but the frozen white screen. Wish I could figure this out. As I said, I've never had a problem before.

    Guess it was my turn on the wheel.

    Over the past few days I've had a terrible problem uploading photos. This morning, I was able to upload one but not others. Very frustrating. What should I do?
