VideoPress - question about preventing video files from being downloaded on hard

  1. Hello,

    I am a VideoPress subscriber.

Do You know any way to prevent viewers from downloading and saving the video on their local hard drive using such tools like e.g. DonloadHelper FireFox plugin?

Or only to make it harder?

I've noticed, that I can download without any problem video files in VideoPress - even with access domain restrictions...

  2. Please address your question directly to Staff using this link http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact/

  3. Just to double check have your read this entry?
    http://en.support.wordpress.com/videopress/restrict-videopress-playback-by-domain/

Restricted playback only applies to videos with embedding disabled. Individual videos you would like to restrict must have the embed preference unchecked before any restrictions apply.

  4. O.K. I send my question to Staff.

Sure I correctly restricted my playback from embedding. It just doesn't prevent from download the files on hard drive.

  5. Thanks for letting us know you have contacted Staff and best wishes.

  6. Nope. Flash downloads a file temporarily to the HD.

    Download tools simply redirect it.

You can't show a video, and block it from download tools at the same time.
