Trying to upload videos. Successfully arrive at the "this video is being processed" stage and then...nada.
They never get processed.
They are .mov files. Using Mac OSC 10.7.5 and Chrome 22.0.1229.94.

Do you have the videopress upgrade? If not, you'll need that to be able to upload videos here. The alternative is to embed via Youtube or similar.

If so, can you try uploading the original files?

I didn't edit them. Took them with my iPhone. Transferred them to iPhoto. Then exported them in "Original" to the Movies section of my desktop. Pulled them from there to try and upload them to WP.

What version of iOS and iPhoto are you using?
Can you try using Image Capture to copy the movie file to your desktop, then upload that one?

Never used Image Capture. When I opened it, it seemed to want to be connected to a camera or a scanner...

Oh, I think I see what you are getting at but the movies are no longer on my phone. Only on iPhoto - and my desktop.

I think I see what you are getting at but the movies are no longer on my phone. Only on iPhoto - and my desktop.
In iPhoto, with the video file selected, can you go to File -> Reveal in Finder -> Original File, then upload that file?

Here's a strange thing. The "Masters" files of my movies seem not to be accessible when I try to import them to WP. For some reason (could it be that the iPhoto library in question is on an external hard drive?) is greyed out when I try to access it via the WP uploader...Thoughts?

Ah, that could explain it. You would need to plug in the external hard drive if that's where the original video file is located.

When you upload the image to your Media Library, you can click the Edit link for the uploaded image, then copy and paste the File URL here.

Also, what's your internet connection speed (download and upload)?

In a Finder window, is the external hard drive displayed under Devices?

When you click one of the media files you've uploaded in Media -> Library, you'll be taken to the Edit Media screen.
e.g. https://greetingsfromtheemptynest.wordpress.com/wp-admin/media.php?attachment_id=402&action=edit
From there, you can copy–paste the File URL so we can see the screenshot, or you can just copy the URL to the Edit Media screen (if you only want staff to see the screenshot).
Ok, well, I switched to Firefox and the correct iphoto library with the Masters was not greyed out so I uploaded the file and...same old same old. Will now go upload the screenshot of what I see...

Thanks for your reply and the screenshot. I thought you were seeing an error in the upload process, but I'm glad to see that wasn't the case.
Can you open the video in QuickTime Player, then in the File menu, go to Export to -> Web, and try to upload the resulting file?
(Which iPhone did you use to record the video?)
