I used to use site meter and one thing I like about this is that you can view visitors to your site and see what country/city they are viewing your site from. Is there a way I can do this with the wordpress statistics?

You can use ClustrMaps in your sidebar to get an overall picture of where they're coming from, but it won't trace individuals to individual locations.
whosamongus, at least the free version, works—you have to click through to readers > recent to see countries, or click to maps.
and also flagcounter displays flags & # of visitors from around the world.
