Viewers adding media through comment section?

  1. Hey everyone...

I'm trying to figure out if those who view my blog can have the opportunity to insert a picture of video within their comment while replying to one of my posts? So far, I have not seen a way... Can anybody help me figure out how to make this an option??

The blog I need help with is shimmelmanmanuscript.wordpress.com.

  2. Your visitors can provide URLs to images, videos, etc. in comments and you can choose whether or not to approve them http://en.support.wordpress.com/comments/embeds/

  3. P.S. if you set up the blog for anonymous commenting then do be sure to set up full comment moderation ie. "An administrator must always approve the comment" because anonymous commenting is bound to increase the amount of spam your blog will receive.

  4. But is that the only option? If possible, I'd like to have their pictures be visible in the comment area so that everyone can see without having to click on a URL. Thanks for the reply!

  5. After you approve the comment the URLs in it will be "live".

  6. Please carefully consider that if anyone could post an image to your blog in a comment box directly then your blog would be full of porno and other spam in minutes flat. That's why you need to have comment moderation.

  7. You rock!! Thank youuu!!

  8. You're welcome.
